Summary

During the early 1970s an amalgamation between the CSIRO's Divisions of Dairy Research and Food Preservation resulted in the formation of the Division of Food Research. This Division conducted research into the preservation of quality in foodstuffs. In 1986 came another name change, the Division becoming the Division of Food Processing.
