Summary
Eric Susman was a medical practitioner who attained his qualifications after serving with the Australian Imperial Force during WWI. He became Honorary Physician at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital following residencies both there and at the Sydney Hospital. In 1925 he started a private practice. He was a foundation Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. The Eric Susman Prize is awarded annually by the College to recognise outstanding and lasting contribution by a member of the College to the field of internal medicine in the areas of research, teaching and/or clinical medicine.
