Robert Vines worked for CSIRO Division of Forest Research from 1980. He spent his entire career at CSIR/O, working for the Lubricants and Bearings Section 1942-1956, the Chemical Research Laboratories 1956-1975 and the Division of Building Research 1975-1978.
