Summary
The Pollock Award and Lectureship in the Physical Sciences and Mathematics has been awarded since 1949 by the Royal Society of New South Wales in association with the University of Sydney. Until 2023 it was known as the Pollock Memorial Lecture. It is awarded approximately every four years, the lecturers being Australian and international researchers eminent in their fields. James Pollock was Professor of Physics at the University for over 20 years and a long-term member and officer bearer of the Society.
