Summary
The Ruby Payne-Scott Medal and Lecture for Women in Science has been presented annually by the Australian Academy of Science since 2021. It recognises researchers of the highest standing in the physical and/or biological sciences. Restricted to women researchers who are normally resident in Australia, the Medal is awarded for research conducted mainly in Australia. Recipients are invited to deliver a lecture at the Academy's annual meeting. Ruby Payne Scott was a pioneer of radio astronomy and radiophysics in Australia.
