Summary

The Transactions and proceedings and report of the Adelide Philosophical Society was published between 1878 and 1879 by the Society, the first scientific journal published in South Australia. It includes papers on scientific topics relating to South Australia and of interest to the members, as well as reports of the Society's proceedings. When the Society received its Royal warrant 1880 the Transactions continued but with the title reflecting the Society's name change.
