Summary

Robert Macbeth, MIEAust, was a design civil engineer with the Public Works Department, Western Australia, and was associated with the design of the Samson Brook Dam (1941) and Stirling Dam (1948). The Stirling Dam being the highest earthfill dam constructed in Australia at that time.

In 1945, with R. J. Dumas, he was awarded the Warren Memorial Prize 1942, by the Institution of Engineers, Australia, for the paper "Design of the Samson Brook and Stirling Dams".
