Summary

In 1989 the Queensland Mines Department [II] (1890 - 1989) changed its name becoming the Department of Resource Industries. The Department of Resource Industries oversaw Queensland's mining, gas, mineral, energy and petroleum industries. In 1992 the Department of Resource Industries became the Department of Minerals and Energy.
