Summary
David Lamb spent 28 years in managerial and executive positions within the Ford Motor Company's componentry section (c.1964-1992). In 1992 he was appointed Chief Executive of CSIRO's Australian Automotive Technology Centre (AATC). During the next 11 years he oversaw the research and development of Australia's first Low Emissions Vehicles (LEVs) and reinvigorated Australia's componentry manufacturing industry by instigating the development of higher quality products and processes. In 2003, Lamb retired from the CSIRO but returned from 2005-2008 as Low Emission Transport Theme Leader in the Energy Transformed Flagship during which time he promoted the Australian hybrid battery UltraBattery to international companies and increased biofuel research by 1200%.
