The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Australian Mineral Exploration Technologies was established in July 1992. Research undertaken by the CRC included areas such as electromagnetic geophysics, exploration geophysics, remote sensing and weathering characteristics. The CRC ceased operations in 2000.
From their Web site, May 2002: "CRC AMET operated from 1992 to 2000, and developed a new generation of airborne electromagnetic technologies optimised for mineral exploration in Australia."
