Summary

The research work of CSIRO from 1949 to 2014 was primarily organised in Divisions, Sections and Units depending on the size and/or standing of the group. National Facilities, Laboratories and Research Stations were also created to focus the use of resources in particular fields. Organisational units that transitioned from CSIR to CSIRO are designated as CSIR/O. This entry lists the many Divisions that existed during this period. Sections, Units and other business units are listed elsewhere.
