Summary

The South Australian Ornithological Association historical series provides accounts of exceptional members of the Association, who have contributed significantly to its activities and success. Other naturalists and ornithologists are included, as are issues of historical interest on ornithology in South Australia. All issues are published as inserts to the Association's journal, The birder. The series was begun by Penny Paton while she was cataloging the extensive correspondence held by the Association, dating from 1913.
