Summary

Josephine Heysen was a farmer, manager of livestock and the orchard at the family home "The Cedars" in the Adelaide Hills. She was also a keen birdwatcher. A member of the South Australian Ornithological Association from 1926, she contributed to the South Australian ornithologist, reporting on the birds she had observed. Her reports provided a comprehensive list of 83 species in her local district.
