Summary
The Neil Fairley Hamilton Medal was first presented in 1969 by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Awarded (usually) every five years, it recognises individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of medicine. The Medal was established with the generosity of Lady Mary Hamilton Fairley. A long-standing Fellow of the College, Fairley was internationally recognised for his research in tropical diseases, particularly malaria and the diseases that affected troops during WWI.
