Summary
Science and industry was published in two volumes by the Advisory Council of Science and Industry from 1919 to 1920. In line with the objects of the Council, its purpose was to co-ordinate scientific work carried out in the Commonwealth of Australia, by providing a "suitable and authoritiative medium for the expansion of Australian scientific thought and aspirations" [from Foreword to the first issue]. It included articles, letters to the editor, and short paragraphs of scientific interest. Science and industry ceased when the Commonwealth Institute of Science and Industry superceded the Advisory Council.
