Summary

The Western Australian Government Railways, Tramways, Ferries and Electricity Supply was responsible for the administration, engineering, and construction of trains, trams, ferries and related infrastructure in Western Australian from 1930. This department was also responsible for the distribution of electricity throughout the state until 1946. It appears that a significant portion of responsibility for electricity supply and infrastructure was passed onto the State Electricity Commission of Western Australia (1945 - 1975).
