Summary

Margaret Middleton was an active supporter of the Australian Academy of Science having become a patron of the Foundation for Science in 1992. Since 2000 the Margaret Middleton Fund for endangered Australian native vertebrate animals (to which she generously contributed) has made annual grants to support field-based ecological research. At the time of her death over 80 projects had been funded.
