Summary

Charles Daley was a educator, historian and naturalist. He worked for the Victorian education department for 46 years (1878 - 1924). After his retirement he published numerous works on Australian History and played a significant role in a number of scientific organisations such as the Geelong Field Naturalists Club, the Field Naturalists Club of Victoria, the Linnean Society of London, and the Victorian Advisory Council for Fauna and Flora.
