Summary

Evans Lagudah is a plant geneticist who has made significant contributions to international agriculture with his research into rust-resistance in cereal crops. He has cloned genes associated with multi-pathogen resistance and immune receptors which have been incorporated into the world's leading wheat improvement programs. Lagudah is Chief Research Scientist with CSIRO Plant Industry, and Adjunct Professor in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney.
