Summary

Josef (Joseph) Lauterer ran a private medical practice in Brisbane from 1885 and was active in the Royal Society of Queensland. As a member of the Society's field naturalists section he studied plant chemistry, the botany of Moreton Bay area and Aboriginal languages. He published many articles in the Society's journal and wrote an article on gums of Eucalypts and Angophora.
