Summary

Don Vernon joined the Conzinc Riotinto of Australia Ltd group in 1953, having worked for the Colonial Sugar Refining Company (CSR) since 1945. He worked at the controversial copper-gold mine in the mountains of Bougainville, later becoming a director of Bougainville Copper Ltd.
