Summary
Peter Andrews played a significant role in establishing Queensland's biotechnology sector. He co-founded the University of Queensland's Institute for Molecular Bioscience in 2000, and was Chief Executive of its commercialisation company. He was Queensland's inaugural Chief Scientist 2003 to 2010.
Previously he was the Director, Centre for Drug Design and Development, University of Queensland from 1991. Earlier, he was at several other institutions, including John Curtin School of Medical Research, Australian National University 1972-1979 and Victoria College of Pharmacy 1980-1987.
