Summary

The Queen Victoria Medical Centre was established in 1977 as a result of the amalgamation of the Queen Victoria Hospital, the Jessie McPherson Hospital and McCulloch House, a convalescent home. In 1987 another amalgamation took place. The Queen Victoria Medical Centre, the Prince Henry's Hospital and the Moorabbin Community Hospital came together to form the Monash Medical Centre, located in Clayton.
