Summary

The Department of Agriculture was established in 1991, taking the place of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Another Department of Agriculture had existed in Victoria from 1872 to 1985. In 1995, the Department of Agriculture was superseded by the Department of Agriculture, Energy and Minerals.
