Summary
In the early 1840s, Peter Russell left the business, Russell Bros. and took over the failing Sydney Foundry and Engineering Works. In 1855 Peter was joined by two of his brothers, the Sydney Foundry and Engineering Works, and Russell Bros. were wound up, and the larger enterprise P. N. Russell and Company was established.
