- Abstract
How good is a good night's sleep? Quantitative assessment is difficult because of the variety of physiological and psychological factors that influence the sleeping process. Strain gauges placed on a leg of the patient bed enable physical activity during sleep to be monitored in a continuous way from which the data can be compared with other clinical data. This simple, non-invasive monitor, provides valuable assistance to the clinician.
