Notification is given of recent decisions of the Council respecting the award of Prizes of The Institution.
Electrical Association Premium. 1940 Award. - Mr. William Thorn, MEE, Associate Member, for the paper "The application of shunt capacitors to distribution systems", read before the Melbourne Division of The Institution, 29/10/1940, (published in The Journal, Vol.13, No.1, January, 1941). It was recorded that Mr. J. L. W. Harvey, BCE BEE, Junior, was a joint author of the paper.
