- Abstract
Tables and graphs are presented for use in the design of such structures as elevated cylindrical tanks. In particular, graphs of "Fixed End Moments", and "Stiffness" have been prepared to enable a quick determination of bending stresses and shears in reinforced concrete circular slabs continuous over a number of concentric supports. Application to the junction of cylindrical walls and circular slab is discussed. Finally, the lines on which typical structures may be analysed are demonstrated with examples. In the appendices to the paper are the formulae, derived by conventional available methods, on which the curves and calculations are based.
