- Abstract
The following paper gives the results of a series of measurements of the field strength of 2FC, Sydney, in the neighbourhood of the Metropolis. The method of measurement is described, and the results shown in the form of curves.
The absorption of energy is very large towards the north, and very small to the south. The equivalent conductivity of the ground is determined from theoretical considerations, and lies between 10-14 and 5.10-14 e.m.u.
The power radiated by the station is estimated to be 4100 watts, or 82% of the input.
