Abstract

The scope and purpose of this paper is to present the engineering viewpoint on the title subject. As a basis, some of the many definitions of the term "Economics" have been submitted. The progress and the broadening of the study of economics and of the art of engineering concurrently over the past two centuries has been indicated, particularly the contribution of the engineering profession and the influence of The Institution.
