Description

Original diaries maintained by Sister Jeffrey during her captivity at Palembang POW camp, Sumatra. The account records her experiences from the time of the sinking of the Vyner Brooke, her capture and incarceration until eventually released in late 1945. Also three typed captions which accompanied one of the diaries in an Australian War Memorial exhibition.
