Summary

The Ian Mackerras Medal has been awarded (usually) every second year by the Australian Entomological Society since 1984. It recognises excellence in entomological research by a mid-career entomologist who is a member of the Society. The Medal commemorates the Society's first President, Ian Mackerras, one of Australia's foremost entomologists.
