Summary

The Alan Walsh Medal has been awarded in alternate years since 2002 by the Australian Institute of Physics. It is awarded to an Australian resident whose research has resulted in patents, processes or inventions that have led to significant industrial and/or commercial outcomes. The Medal commemorates Alan Walsh, President of the Institute from 1967 to 1968, the inventor of atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
