Summary
Stanley Thatcher Blake worked for the Queensland Herbarium from 1945 until his death. Before joining the Herbarium he received a Walter and Eliza Hall Fellowship which allowed him to undertake botanical collecting expeditions to Western Queensland (1935-1937). He also carried out a special survey of potential rubber-producing plants in Queensland in 1939. Blake was a President of the Royal Society of Queensland and the Queensland Naturalists' Club. He was a life member of the National Parks Association.
