Summary

Sir Ian Clunies Ross was Professor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney (1940-1946), Member of the Executive of CSIR (1946-1949) and Chairman of CSIRO (1949-1959).

He was a recipient of many awards and honours including appointment as Knight Bachelor (Kt), Gold Medal of the Royal Agricultural Society of England and the James Cook Medal from the Royal Society of New South Wales.
