Summary
The Georgina Sweet Australian Laureate Fellowship was inaugurated by the Australian Research Council in 2010, with the first award being made in 2011. It was established to recognise the distinguished contributions of Georgina Sweet, one of Australia's foremost parasitologists, and to promote the advancement of the careers of women in science and technology. Recipients must have already been awarded an ARC Australian Laureate Fellowship before being considered for the Sweet Fellowship. A key part of the award is an ambassadorial role in promoting women in science and mentoring early-career researchers.
