Summary

The Burnet Prize has been awarded annually by the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research since 1987. It was established through a bequest from Frank Macfarlane Burnet, Director of the Institute from 1944 to 1966. The Prize is presented to an early-career scientist who has produced pioneering research.
