Summary

The Ellis Troughton Memorial Award has been presented occasionally by the Australian Mammal Society since 1978. The Award recognises significant contributions to Australian mammalogy by a member of the Society. Recipients become Fellows of the Society. Ellis Troughton, Curator of Mammals at the Australian Museum from 1921 to 1958, was a foundation Member of the Society and its first Honorary Life Member.
