Summary

The Western Australian Bureau of Agriculture was a statutory body established in 1894 and can be viewed as a predecessor to the Department of Agriculture (1898 - 2006). The Bureau was active in a range of agricultural activities including soil analyses, meteorology, livestock management, pest eradication and crop dispersion.
