- Abstract
Electrical networks containing time-varying reactance are studied under steady state conditions, in terms of the frequency components of the voltages, currents and time-varying inductances and capacitances of the network. Electric circuit theory is extended (through an impedance expression for a time-varying reactive component) to give overall impedance matrix equations for a network containing such components. Simple manipulation of these matrices brings out what are believed to be new and useful descriptions of the important power-frequency phenomena associated with time-varying reactance.
