- Abstract
The paper described the steadily increasing applications of spot, seam, and butt welding by means of the resistance type of welder, and included many details of the improvements incorporated in the design of these machines in recent years.
The essentials of the resistance welding process, are clamping of the parts to be welded, application of welding heat and pressure, and termination of welding heat whilst still applying the pressure.
