Abstract

Committees of The Institution established to encourage research in their respective fields and to disseminate the results of such research have noted that there is a vast amount of information on research already carried out, but not readily accessible.
In the past ten years, much work has been carried out in Australian Universities and described in theses accepted for higher degrees. A copy of each such thesis would be in the library of a University, but few people might be aware of its existence.
Accordingly, The Institution has compiled the following list of theses accepted for higher degrees from 1955 to 1965.

The assistance of the Deans and the Librarians of the Faculties
of the various Australian Universities is gratefully acknowledged.
It is understood that photo-copies of the summaries of these theses are available upon application to the respective University Libraries.
This list has been compiled from the best information available at the time of printing. The Editor will be pleased to receive advice regarding errors and omissions.
It is proposed to publish further lists regularly in order to keep this record up to date.
