Abstract

Recent Awards made by the Council.
The Council of The Institution at the 102nd Meeting held at Melbourne on 19/3/1945 received a report from the Papers and Publications Standing Committee and approved the award of the following Prizes:-

Electrical Association Premium - 1941 Award, to Mr J C Stobie, ME AMIEAust, for his paper entitled "Longitudinal loadings on flexible transmission line supports", presented before the Adelaide Division on 21 Nov 1941.

The paper by Mr J C A Fraser, AMIEAust, entitled "Salvaging, relaying and jointing submarine power cables" received special commendation.
