Abstract

Following an invitation to members to indicate interest in the establishing of a Coastal Engineering Committee, and an examination of the many replies received, The Institution has established a Coastal Engineering Committee with the following members:-

* Mr. J. G. Betty, Macdonald, Wagner and Priddle, Sydney;
* Mr. C. D. Floyd, N.S.W. Department of Public Works;
* Mr. D. N. Foster, University of N.S.W.;
* Mr. A. B. Hicks, Commonwealth Department of Works;
* Dr. J. B. Hinwood, Monash University;
* Mr. B. L. McGrath, Beach Protection Authority, Queensland;
* Mr. J. C. Rivett, Gutteridge, Haskins and Davey, Queensland;
* Dr. R. Silvester, University of Western Australia;
* Mr. L. E. Turnidge, Marine Board of Burnie;
