- Abstract
The necessity for automatic control of the frequency of a large interconnected system is shown. Desirable behaviour of governing mechanisms and general problems encountered in the application of supplementary control are discussed. Descriptions are given of the principles and equipment employed in the system of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria for the maintenance of frequency within reasonably close limits.
