Abstract

This symposium (No. 955), which was presented at a meeting of the Melbourne Division of The Institution on 30th September, 1947, deals with the measurement of stream flows in Victoria, the regulating effect which storage reservoirs have on natural stream flows, the relation between storage capacity and national benefit with regard to irrigation projects, and the regulation of discharge from irrigation storages to give maximum water deliveries consistent with safeguarding supplies for use in drought periods.
