- Abstract

"Diana Temple, a respiratory pharmacologist from Sydney University, Sydney, Australia, was a persuasive advocate for the role of women in science. 'She made us feel that we could have it all', remembers Judith Black, Temple's former student, now professor of pharmacology at Sydney University. 'She was a very good role model because not only was she such an active academic and researcher, but she also had a family and kids.' Graham Johnston, also a professor of pharmacology at Sydney University and a friend of Temple's for 50 years, remembers how 'She had this quiet resolve to make sure women got a fair deal-in fact to make sure that everyone got a fair deal.'"
