Abstract

This paper describes several mechanical devices which may be used in the solution of certain mathematical problems. Part I. deals generally with simple mathematical functions, while Part II describes the use of the Differential Analyser for the solution of differential equations.
Several examples are given of the application of these devices to typical engineering problems.
