This paper, No.1333, is to be presented on 25th March, 1958, before Melbourne Division of The Institution during the Conference of Engineering Institutions of the British Commonwealth. This is to be a joint meeting of the Constituent Institutions of the Conference.

Mr. East is State Rivers and Water Supply Commission, Victoria and Commissioner representing Victoria, River Murray Commission.

Mr. Green is Senior Executive Engineer and Mr. Horsfall is Chief Designing Engineer of the State Rivers and Water Supply Commission, Victoria.

Abstract

The papers in this symposium deal with the development of a national water policy in Victoria, the measurement and stocktaking of water resources, and the design, construction and operation of works to use those water resources.
