Abstract

The problem of the development of the River Murray has been before the public of Australia for many years, and had it not been for the lines dividing the States, thus creating separate interest in this great natural asset, the probabilities are that the works now under construction would have long ago been completed, and the rich and fertile valley of the Murray be more productive than at the present time.
